Marlin Feyen – President
Marlin co-founded Feyen Zylstra with Bob Zylstra in 1980. Prior to this Marlin worked as an electrical apprentice, journeyman, and foreman in the electrical contractor field. In addition to his role in the day-to-day operations and strategy of Feyen Zylstra, Marlin plays an active role in the community. He has served in numerous capacities for a variety of organizations. These include sitting on city and government advisory councils as well as a variety of non-profit boards.
Bob Zylstra – Chairman
Bob co-founded Feyen Zylstra with Marlin Feyen in 1980. Prior to 1980 Bob worked as a business manager and electrical estimator for 10 years. Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Calvin College. Like Marlin, Bob is very active in the community, serving on the City of Grand Rapids Planning Commission, the Gilda’s Club Board of Directors, and in a variety of other capacities.
Roger Tjoelker – Chief Financial Officer
Roger joined Feyen Zylstra in 1989 as its first in-house accounting and finance director. In addition to his expertise in these areas, Roger also provides insight into Feyen Zylstra strategies, growth, and long-term planning. Roger holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Davenport University.
Nate Koetje – Chief Operating Officer
Nate joined Feyen Zylstra in 1999 as the Director of Human Resources. Since that time he has also served as the Service Group Leader and currently is in the position of Chief Operating Officer. In addition to leading day-to-day operations for the firm as a whole, he also provides insight into Feyen Zylstra's strategies, growth, and long term planning. Nate holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Valley State University.
